#2 Sydney Park
Schlepped to Sydney Park this morning on the site of the old brickworks at St Peters. Only 6 miles but 45 mins in horrendous Sat morning traffic. Worth the trip though; they have a great kids' bike track, and a playground now. Weather still very mild for last day of April: 26C forecast and water still 21C. probably go to the beach this afternoon..

#1 ANZAC Day at the beach
Today is ANZAC Day. Kind of like a cross between Memorial Day and Labor Day as it commemorates the fallen but marks the end of summer. We saw the Anzac day march at Bronte kicking off at 10.30 am in bright sunshine and about 25C
in the afternoon we went for a walk on the Hermitage Forseshore Trail at Nielsen Park. Fittingly, found an old gun emplacement protecting the Harbor from the Russians during the Crimean War in the 1850's
